Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Finano mobile application ("the App") developed by Volodymyr Symonchuk ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to them.

What the App is

Finano is a tool for recording and reviewing personal and household finances. It works on your device and stores your data locally. Optionally, you can sign in and share a household with family members; in that case your household data is also stored on our server and synchronised between the members' devices. It is not a bank, a payment service or a financial adviser.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with the rules of the app store you obtained it from. You may not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the App.

Account and household

• You may create an account by signing in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure and for everything done through your account.
• A household is shared by everyone you invite. Members see and can edit the shared accounts, categories, transactions, budgets and rules. Invite only people you trust, and keep invitation codes private.
• The owner of a household can remove members; a member can leave at any time. If the owner deletes their account, ownership passes to the longest-standing member.
• You may not use the service to store content that is unlawful, that you have no right to share, or in a way that disrupts the service or other users. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

Your data and your responsibility

• You own the data you enter or import. Without an account the App stores data on your device only; keep your own backups, because we cannot recover data from a device or an App that has been removed. With an account, the synchronised household data is also kept on our server, but it is not a backup service: deleting data in the App deletes it everywhere in the household.
• If you connect a bank, you are responsible for keeping your bank token confidential and for complying with your bank's terms. Disconnect the bank in Settings if you suspect the token has been exposed.
• The App reflects what your bank, you or your household members enter. Balances, categories and reports are informational and may contain errors; verify important figures against your bank.

Not financial advice

Nothing in the App constitutes financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Decisions you make based on the App are your own.

Third-party services

The App can connect to Monobank's API, downloads exchange rates from open.er-api.com, uses Apple's services for sign-in and push notifications, and reports crashes to Sentry. Our server is hosted by Hetzner. These services belong to third parties, may change or become unavailable, and are subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or accuracy. How they process data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Paid features

Finano is free to use. Finano Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. It unlocks additional features described on the purchase screen, for example subcategories, more accounts, budgets and recurring transactions, bank import, automatic exchange rates, full report history, the subscription tracker and CSV export. One subscription applies to the whole household: while any member of a household holds an active Pro subscription, every member of that household has Pro.

Prices are shown in the store before purchase. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the App does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Data you created with Pro stays visible after the subscription ends; features that require Pro become unavailable until it is renewed.

Availability

We aim to keep the sync service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Offline features of the App keep working without the service.

Warranty and liability

The App is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of data or financial loss arising from reliance on figures shown in the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it, and you can delete your account in Settings → Delete account. We may discontinue the App or any feature with reasonable notice where practicable, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced inside the App; continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
